IMPORTANT CHANGES TO TDLR'S WEBSITE
The website and email for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has changed. Please update your VSF receipts and/or Tow Tickets to reflect the following:
You may direct all complaints to Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation at P.O. Box 12157, Austin TX 78711 or
call 800-803-9202 or through the website www.tdlr.texas.gov/complaints or email to enforcement@ tdlr.texas.gov.
This change must be made to stay in compliance with state laws and regulations. The old website will still be up for a short time period, but it is best to get this changed as soon as possible.
***IMPORTANT: Chapter 85.1003, of the Vehicle Storage Facility rules, has been changed to allow the posting of fees and other required information to now be posted on a single sheet of paper or poster. The rule will take effect on August 15th, 2013. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THIS ON YOUR SIGNAGE AT THE PAYMENT WINDOW AT THIS TIME. More details or to come detailing how this change will give you more flexibility on posting at the payment area. For now, please start updating your VSF Receipts and/or Tow Tickets to reflect this change above.

TDLR Will Be Hosting Tow Truck and Tow Company Inspections
On Thursday July 18, 2013 from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
For McLennan, Coryell, Falls, Limestone and Hamilton Counties at:
Hewitt VFW Post 6008 725 Sun Valley Blvd., Hewitt, Texas 76643
Please contact a TDLR Inspector prior to July 18, 2013 to arrange for inspections.

2 Proof of all drug tests (pre-employment, annual, random)

4 Proof of Liability Insurance
5 Cab card
6 10 Tow tickets and all records that are associated with these tickets for May 2011; 10 Tow tickets
and all records that are associated with these tickets for September 2012; and 10 Tow tickets and
all records that are associated with these tickets for June 2013
II. Tow Truck:
A. Documents to be inspected include:
1. Tow Operator’s license
2. Cab Card
3. Proof of Liability Insurance
B. Equipment to be inspected includes:
1. Legible manufacturer’s data plate or document from manufacturer stating the capacity of boom,
2. Winch in good condition (must not exceed capacity of boom or leak oil)
3. Hydraulic lines free of leaks and in good condition
4. Cables meeting manufacturer’s specifications and in good condition
** TDLR WILL NOT CHECK FOR THESE TOW TRUCK ITEMS (fire extinguishers, broom,
shovel, etc...) **
